I can not remember when I last had any other homepage except yahoo!
Today I have cancelled yahoo as my home page and gone over to the BBC, and why? Well I have got so fed up with advertising on yahoo, I am aware that they have to get in some revenue but I draw the line when every time you open a page there is a banner advert taking up at least half of the page that you can no longer cancel so have to work around it.
Luckily the toolbar has all the things I need from them like email, favourites and other things like direct links to Amazon and eBay.
You can do so much with the BBC homepage in making it all things local.
It is a very busy time at the moment with the first concerts for the choir coming up and having a stinking cold does not help!
I do not often comment on here about the news or politics but I have been saying for some time that the banks in this country appear to be omnipotent, they seem to do as they please and the government are powerless to do anything about it. I am commenting, of course, on the country giving billions of pounds to the banks for them to lend to persons and businesses and instead of increasing their loan business the have said thank you very much to the government and loaned less than they were lending before!! See what I mean, why are the people of this country putting up with this? It is beyond my understanding!
